In the sense that Matin has improved USC each year he's been there, coaching up the same group of starters along the way (currently undefeated), justifies his high ranking though IMO. That's what I want out of a coach, especially in a position where you can't recruit at the highest level. It will be interesting to see how well he can transition from experienced veterans to inexperienced guys next year.


So you're saying that the best time to gauge Martin is after he loses his experienced guys, but for Pearl it will be when he gets his experienced guys.


Sounds fair....
