It's one extremely good DT, who has always been extremely good. If you want to be developed into an NFL DT, do you go with the guys who have produced 1 in 3 years, or the guys who have produced 7-10 in 7 years? It's really that simple, there is no decision.

You do realize how bad you are skewing thing your team's way. The question is did CHF inherit an SEC ready team....the answer is not no be "Hell No". He made the best with what he had. His recruits are just now getting to draft eligibity. It is only going to get better. Likely Woody will get a look if not land on a team. Then you have Brown, Jones, Speaks etc....following in trace. You can't sit here an say it isn't comparable when you are trying to compare Muffins body to work against Coach O's leftovers to a coach that did jack shite besides collect a paycheck and then CHF....Also I think the product on the field is rather telling, 3-1 and the 1 win was a home field OT fumble to clinch it.

And there is where the pattern is. I don't think I've seen another state fan go here and I'll probably get harassed for saying it. But we haven't been good in the big game the past two years. Dak is a lot of things, but I'm not so sure that clutch is one of them. Home field advantage or not, we should have won last year in Oxford.

The last two years, our biggest 4 games have been the two Bama games, both had West implications on the line and for one we were ranked #1, and the Ole Miss games. One of those potentially had the CFP on the line, the other was his last game and I think/know he viewed it as a huge game.

In all 4, he absolutely shite the bed, especially in the first half. After half, he calmed down and played some damn good football, in literally all 4 instances. This year against Bama maybe to a lesser degree, but still a massive improvement over offensive movement in the first half. The egg Bowl 2 years ago was a big game, but he didn't start, he came in with nothing to lose.

I love Dak as much as the next State fan, and no doubt we are going to miss him. He's been absolutely lights out, but I cannot help but look at his biggest 4 games and recognize that laying a big ole first half dump was a trend. I'm not sure if he tries to do too much, maybe that causes him to make more or less keeps than he normally would. Turnovers are certainly part of it, I can think of at least like 6 in those 4 games alone, for a QB that doesn't turn the ball over often otherwise. His fumble in the EB this year was crippling, had the ball first and were driving smoothly, we've won 13 straight games when scoring first. Killed the drive and gave them pretty good field position, completely flipped the tone of the game right from the start.
