2012- for some reason people always point to the SC game, but that game didn't affect us one iota in getting to the title game.

But it was team confidence killer and one of many examples of Richt's teams not being competitive in big game which is likely one of the reasons Richt was fired. It's not just the loses that matter but how competitive your teams is against quality opponents. In contrast, while Bielema doesn't have a good SEC record, his teams have been highly competitive vs ranked teams and now that team seems to have confidence and is an up and coming team.

please define how it killed the team's confidence. A few weeks later they beat the #2 team in america that was undefeated, beat a freeze led ole miss quite soundly, mudstomped auburn and tech, and played in the SECCG for a trip to the title.

Yeah they're confidence really plummeted I tell ya.

Georgia ran through, up and over that highly competitive team last year. They're improving but lets pump the brakes there.
