Starting left offensive tackle David Sharpe re-injured his foot in practice Wednesday and is questionable for Saturday’s game, UF coach Jim McElwain said after Wednesday’s practice.

“Yeah, (he’s questionable) and I don’t know whether he could go down to doubtful. It just happened, so I can’t tell you,” McElwain said. “It’s the same thing he had. It's up to him as far as getting out there and going, and yet I'm not going to put anyone out there that's not ready to go.”

Sharpe originally injured his foot in the Georgia game and was limited the following week against Vanderbilt.

If Sharpe is unable to go, starting right tackle Mason Halter would move to the left side and true freshman Rod Johnson would start at right tackle.

McElwain also confirmed Wednesday that defensive ends Alex McCalister (foot), Jordan Sherit (hamstring) and defensive tackle Joey Ivie (knee) will miss Saturday’s game. Wide receivers C.J. Worton (unspecified injury) and Raphael Andrades (unspecified) and defensive back Chris Williamson (back) also are out.

UF has some depth issues right now, but at this point in the season, it's just time to survive and advance.

Justus Reed will have a chance to shine with both Sherit AND McCallister out. Cox and Jefferson are both going to get a lot of snaps at defensive end this week.
