Yeah. Sumlin promised him playing time to get him here so he had to be 2nd even though everything screams that he needed to redshirt. Kyle is of course #1 coming off of an MVP run in the Liberty Bowl. Jake who was picked up to be "backup 4 lyfe" was 3rd, though he'd be the #2 guy if we'd've been allowed to do what is rational and redshirt Kyler. Now that Kyle has melted down and was clearly injured in the State game, the coaches are having to invent a fake competition to explain to the fans why they are skipping over the fake #2 guy for the real #2 guy.
