We'll see. You guys have a very talented QB and receivers. We appear to be MUCH better equipped to handle Spread teams this year. Much improved coverage in the secondary. The safeties are converted CBs and much better in coverage than last years safeties (yes, even Collins was a liability in coverage against Spread teams' passing).
We have MUCH better pass rushers, and some quicker smaller LBs that defend the pass better on obvious passing downs. You'll likely see a lot of Tim Williams (one of the best pass rushers Ive seen nationally this year) and Rashaun Evans on obvious passing situations. Sometimes Evans rushes, and sometimes we use him to spy the QB. He's incredibly fast for a LB.
Our DL does a VERY good job batting passes down at the LOS.
Should be a good matchup. If we can survive the first quarter (which Sumlin teams are usually incredible in) I feel good about our chances defensively. Offensively, we must play a lot better than the putrid performance against Arkansas. We were horrific in the 2nd and 3rd quarters.
