I'm sorry, but I cannot feel sorry for someone that hacks an innocent person to death. Mentally ill or not, someone just lost an immediate family member for the rest of their life all because they decided to go for a jog this morning.

Completely agree that this is sad.

What is also sad is a mother not having a son because he couldn't afford/get proper medical attention since the time he started displaying symptoms.

Crazy people are people too, and if you saw a loved one in a mental state that drove them to murder, I highly doubt you would meet them with less compassion.

These two feelings are not mutually exclusive in my opinion, but to each his own.
