This Friday afternoon I will be meeting the HBC for the first time at an event at Williams Brice. If you had the chance to meet Spurrier what would you say to him? Also does anybody out there have any advice or suggestions for a longtime Gamecock fan on what I should say or do when I get to meet the HBC?

Just thank him for everything he's done the past decade for the program. If you want to press the issue slyly mention how you remember how much hope he brought into the program when he first came, and how it was amazing to go from HOF HC to the next.
If you want a cheeky questions, ask him what a current HC could do to best help a future HC.

Typically, you bow twice before approaching and open with a joke. Wait for him to verbally acknowledge you before preceeding from there. Present him with a Coors Light,(unopened) if he is with men, but if his wife is around, change it to a Sprite. Any question you ask him must be ended with a Rooster crow. Remember, a response from him of 'Click-Clack' can be an affirmative or a negative, so it's important to pick up on his facial expressions as to which meaning it is.

HBC don't drink Coors "Light." He's old school - no diet beers for him.

Ask him if he and Gruden are still good friends, and if he thinks he could convince him to take over for him. Aim high, right?

Sounds like you might not have anything to worry about now

That's true, I guess he rather retire than meet me.
I also went to the Tenn game when Fulmer was fired so i guess it could go in the other direction. Good luck Coach Elliott!
