Keep in mind that beginning last year, the bowl pecking order is completely different than history. Liberty Bowl is no different than the Outback Bowl, for example. Playoff is the best (this year: Cotton, Orange) New Years 6 is next (this year: Peach, Sugar, Rose, Fiesta) Citrus is on a tier by itself Belk, Music City, Liberty, TaxSlayer, Texas and Outback are all on the same level and no longer pick their teams - the SEC places them. Sometimes for geography, sometimes for matchups, sometimes to give fanbases new trips. All games are guaranteed against Power 5 opponents. Birmingham and Independence are on a lower tier and are meant for 6-6 qualifiers.

This guy knows his stuff, a few more thoughts.
1. If you play in a bowl one season, you most likely will not go back for 3-4 years to the same bowl that is in the Tier of 6.
2. The Citrus can actually get a team not considered as good as some in the tier of 6.
3. Several years the Birmingham and Indy will not have an SEC team represent for lack of eligible teams.

So, TAMU will not be back at the Liberty for the remainder of the contract. Once a team plays in one of those bowl, all thing will be done to have a different team go.

I will never forget last season, Tenner was chosen for the Liberty and even placed on the NCAA Website, then out of the blue TAMU was chosen and all bets were off. Some Tenner fans bought tix to the liberty from after market sites immediately and then were stuck with tix to the TAMU game

Exactly.

The Citrus can pick anyone they want after the Playoff/NY6 gets their teams.

Looking at current standings, let's say that LSU wins the SEC and makes the Playoff. A&M and Florida are selected to NY6 games - Florida to the Sugar and A&M to the Fiesta.

The Citrus has their pick of everyone else - they pick Alabama.

So now, the next six best teams are Georgia, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Missouri, Kentucky and Tennessee.

Georgia can't go back to Charlotte
Tennessee can't go back to Jacksonville

Tennessee is a good fit for Charlotte, my thoughts are to send them there. (vs. ACC)

Georgia goes to Jax every year, so lets send them to Tampa.(vs. Big Ten)

Ole Miss already has a trip to Memphis this year, and they've been to Nashville recently. Jacksonville might be a good spot for them (vs. Big Ten).

Mississippi State has two Gator Bowls in the past few years, and they have a good alumni base in Houston. Lets send them to Texas (vs. Big 12).

Kentucky seems like a good fit for Memphis (vs. Big 12), and that leaves Music City for Missouri (vs. ACC).

If Auburn and Arkansas end up getting to six wins, its Birmingham and Shreveport, respectably.
