I never assume anything. I want us to win and believe we will, but if I've learned anything from this season it is this: I'll probably be scratching my head or cursing thru the majority of games this season.

Regardless, I think the general consensus around the league and in the fan base was that Mizzou has won in spite of Mauk, not because of him.

Everyone I talk to is excited about Lock starting.

I'll be blunt, because I like to say thing a lot of people don't, if Mauk's Dad didn't have cancer, I don't know if anyone would care about him getting suspended. Everything I have read is geared towards his Dad's health. None of it is "Mauk is the better QB or the better leader or the future". Did one lead to the other? That's all just speculation.

I think people are merging too much of Mauk's personal life and his football performance.

I feel bad for him personally and hope his father recovers.

I don't want to see him play QB for Mizzou anymore, actually over the last 2 years watching him has been gut wrenching and maddening.

My last thoughts on "Mauk".
