What would your analysis say if we threw out MSU's game against Northwestern State (62-13)?

Here's the thing though, you CAN'T throw it out because you're basing the numbers off of how your team did vs. what that OPPONENT scores and allows. It's similar to RPI in basketball.

Northwestern State allows almost 50 ppg and scores less than 20 per game. THAT IS RELEVANT INFORMATION.

However, to placate you:

Removing the Northwestern State numbers, the results look like this:

Texas A&M 28, Mississippi State 17
Texas A&M 26, Mississippi State 19

A&M: 26-28
MSU: 17-19

It goes from "outcome uncertain" to "close win A&M" (any spread between 9-16 points is a close win, anything over is a blowout)
