not understanding why the rule is in place and commenting on it is a sign of arrogance and stupidity.

the defense players read keys and when a lineman leaves the line of scrimmage the key is run not pass so the safeties come up

so you ignorantly put it "it had little effect on the play" when in reality it quite possibly allowed it to happen.
