He came back in to the game.. I'd assume he's good to go.

Someone posted this on BOL, thought it was interesting. I'm in the Minority as far as the Ole Miss game goes. I think we win by at least 10

quote:

We always play one of those "weaker" teams at the beginning of the schedule, week 1-4. Lets see how we did -

2009 - FIU, it was 20-14 at halftime - "The focus in games like this is to improve," Tide coach Nick Saban said. We won 41-14 in the end.
2010 - We look average versus San Jose St, and it was the first game of the year. We played Duke week 3, and we blew them out. We then played 3 straight ranked teams, and showed up in South Carolina completely drained.
2011- Trent had 13 carries for 35 yards versus Kent State
2012 - Western Kentucky - 35-0, looked average and we complained that the Offensive Line was terrible, and that Fluker was the problem. They had 6 sacks on an offensive line that some call the greatest of all time
2013 - Colorado St - 31-6, and we only had 66 yards rushing. Next week versus Ole Miss we had 254 yards rushing.
2014 - We had to play 100% because we were not use to the offense, and so many things changed after we had Kiffin start calling the plays from the sideline. However we played a terrible FIU team, and we had no one carry the ball more than 7 times.

In almost every year we have this game were we play what i call a "Saban game". One where you do no motions, no shifts, you make your RT have to pass block 1 on 1 and learn from his mistakes. You dont blitz much at all, and everything looks like a scrimmage. All about technique, and working on understanding what you need to work on as a player.

Greg McElroy said this morning - What they did was simply have a few plays that they went over throughout the week, they have base formations that they are ran out of, and they almost never have an shifts or motions in them. Next week it might be the same plays, but it will look way different, maybe Drake will start at WR and run across the formation instead this time. It was simple vanilla plays but they worked on the things they needed to work on for this coming week.
