The OL is definitely a concern, though I expect to improve as they play more together and mesh. A lot of people are pissed about the play calling and we were pretty vanilla with what we did. Why that is, I don't know. I'm not sure if it was a first game thing, because they were concerned about the OL, or what. I don't really agree on the part about ASU not being used to our offense though. shite they run an offense very similar to ours

We talked all offseason about running the ball more and it looks like we meant it. Once James White (left after his second carry) gets healthy it should help the depth at RB and hopefully the line has meshed by then. It will also let us run some of the two back sets that we saw in scrimmages and early on vs ASU which is a new wrinkle we didn't use much in the past. I want to see Murray with these guys running some read option

Overall I trust us to improve on offense as the season goes on based on our track record. There were certainly positives- Allen looked better as the game went along, Kirk is a serious playmaker, Reynolds looked like himself, Carson got some tough yards even though it wasn't always pretty, and Murray adds a whole new wrinkle for defenses to prepare for

Plus it looks like we don't need to put up 45 points every game to have a chance to win

Sumlin and Spavital said we went very conservative and it showed.

With our defense playing well, and their blitz every play defensive style, coupled with breaking in a new left side of the line I think it's what we all expected.

38 points ain't bad.
