HD Antenna cost anywhere between 30-60 bucks and just goes on ground/wall right behind my flatscreen. Gets quality high-def picture CBS/Fox/ABC, only negative is I need to get a booster to get quality NBC. But all I really care about is CBS for SEC Saturday. All of the series on major networks I just get through a Hulu and Netflix subscription.
You can look online and find out what HD channels are available through digital channel from your location. If you're anywhere near a major city you'll have all. I live in a city of about 120k population, so mine are a little further out but still quality.
If I wanted DVR I can just do TiVo etc.
