yeah it was pretty funny reading their message boards about they were getting Saban/Patterson/Briles and then it was strong and they talked themselves into "thats the guy we wanted all along".

i seriously think Patterson might not make the end of the year.

i hate to play this card, but i did read lots on how Steve Patterson was taking lots of heat about lack of minorities in coaching positions at Texas and apparently the told the search firm that was a strong emphasis for him.

next thing you know Strong is hired and Smart is for the basketball coach. you can imagine the "old school 70's white millionaire donors" didnt like that much
