Right answer.
Auburn-Louisville will probably be a packed house because of the proximity to both fan bases. Same thing will happen when Alabama and FSU open 2017 in Atlanta.
Neutral site matchups can work just fine, but only if they're close enough the fans can drive and at most spend one night in a hotel. People simply aren't going to spend the same money to travel for a season opener as they will for a bowl game.
