Have to agree 100%.
The old school version of the one near The Varsity was so fricking good and now its really not very good for the reasons you stated.
They also gave you an additional finger in The Box Combo back then. The Box was a big meal back in the day.

I think it seemed better back then because we were freaking blitzed when we went there.
