Only through networking. Living in Ga you will certainly get the skew since there are most likely more UGA grads or fans here.

A miss state grad with the same degree and GPA can beat out a UGA grad merely because of their interviewing skills or networking. (A specialized field is the exception). There are way too many new grads that feel entitled that they are special when in fact they are not. "You got your checkmark. Good job."

Bit more to it than that. Certain comapanies that recruit UGA grads probably aren't sending professional recruiters to Miss State.

A degree from UGA carries more weight than a degree from Hampton University or tons of other schools when all things are equal.

Comparing P5 schools, not so much.
