It feels weird arguing with AU fans requiring you to sound as if you are downing your current QB because they are downing the past QB.

The laces argument is insane. Every QB in the world has a certain way the prefer to hold the ball. Under center the center will adjust the ball so it is snapped into that position in the QB's hands. On shotgun snaps they are attempting to snap it so the same thing happens but it is a larger margin of error.

What JJ did against Arkansas in the 1st half was strong, but it wasn't what I consider to be a pressure situation. We will find out soon enough if he has "it". I am hopeful he does. However, we only know one thing for sure. NM has "it."

I think you are misinterpreting the arguments, at least from what I have read anyway. I admit I didn't go through all the posts so if there are any AU fans being critical of Nick are dumb. NM was a spectacular QB and did some crazy stuff with that ball passing and running. Last years team had several issues of why we lost so many and he isn't one of them.

You are choosing the wait and see argument and others, including myself feel confident in JJ to say he will replace Marshall just fine to win games.

If JJ leads AU to a lot of wins and never had to make a big play under extreme conditions or pressure, I would say he replaced Marshall just fine. Although, we know what teams we play and know he will be faced with plenty of pressure situations. I and others say he will perform, and you and others say let's see, I hope so.

No biggie, I don't need you to agree with me to feel good about my prediction for JJ. I can't speak for the others though.
