I saw the documentaries that the SECN is putting on this fall, and some of it is really a little ridiculous. The Auburn turnaround in 2013, the Michael Sam story, etc.

Is anyone else surprised that USC doesn't have anything on this yet? I would think that the '10 National Championship & Bayler Ball would be a perfect, home-run documentary.

Another story I would absolutely *love* to see brought to life by people who know what they're doing is the timeline of events that went down that caused USC to leave the ACC, and the 20 years of desert wandering that took place until we joined the SEC. There may be too much insider information in that one, though.

Does anyone else have some ideas that they would like to see explored from a Carolina angle?

The IND years in b/w conferences would be good.

or the story in '16 to explain how we Won It All in '15.

they approached George Rogers about doing a story on him but I think he told them thanks but no thanks.

Those other ideas you have are good ones.

The way it works is typically a local production crew will work-up a pilot piece and then ESPN will send in the big boys.

It'll be interesting to see what they finally do for us. Unfortunately all of the major players involved with us leaving the ACC are now dead. And they are really reluctant to do stories on things that did not happen while a respective program was not actually a member of the SEC.

I can see them possibly doing one on Dawn Staley in the near future, once she wins a couple of titles.

Maybe on the back to back national championships in Omaha ... the longest winning streak in postseason and CWS history. Winning the last one at the Blatt and the first one at TD Ameritrade and all that.

the Michael Sam story

The only reason anyone remembers his name is because he told everyone he likes to suck dicks in order to get drafted.

SEC storied is a wannabe 30 for 30. Any great SEC story is gonna be a 30 for 30, not an SEC Storied knockoff brand.

Now on any potential USC story:
Any telling of us joining the SEC is gonna be overshadowed by FSU declining an invitation
George Rogers didn't play in the SEC
Marcus Lattimore hasn't been gone long enough/they already have a "best that never was" documentary
Connor Shaw didn't win anything
Spurrier was much more successful at UF
Nobody cares about baseball

TL;DR- don't expect any SEC Storied documentary about USC anytime soon.

And don't bet money on us ever getting a 30 for 30
