I agree, the Vols could be an improved team and still only have a 6-7 wins this coming season. Am I saying they are a bad team? Hell no. They do have a very salty schedule though and with a few bad breaks their record will look very average.

Which probably means that an overlooked Vols team promptly detonates whatever poor schmucks draw them in a bowl game.

7-9 wins this season is my pick. More if they catch fire down the homestretch and other teams stumble. If I really had to make a bet I'd say next season isn't their big return from the dead season, its the year after that when they finally have all the depth they need across the board to be very dangerous.

yeah, 2016 seems to be the year that everyone thinks the Vols will be ready to leap. Also your bowl statement is quite accurate, as I read every Iowa thread and listened to all of their podcasts, and gathered that they thought they would steam roll us. Well that didn't work out so well.
