I like the way Stoops is doing things, building his program. I think they will continue to improve. That wouldn't be my choice of a loss but I would circle them, Oklahoma, and Florida as potential games to drop. Just because all 3 will presumably field competent teams that compete.

I agree, TN has an uncomfortably large number of toss ups on the schedule this year.

Anything between 7-5 and 9-3 is expected, but anything between 6-6 and 11-1 is a possibility. Lots of tossups/near tossups indeed.

I agree, the Vols could be an improved team and still only have a 6-7 wins this coming season. Am I saying they are a bad team? Hell no. They do have a very salty schedule though and with a few bad breaks their record will look very average.

Which probably means that an overlooked Vols team promptly detonates whatever poor schmucks draw them in a bowl game.

7-9 wins this season is my pick. More if they catch fire down the homestretch and other teams stumble. If I really had to make a bet I'd say next season isn't their big return from the dead season, its the year after that when they finally have all the depth they need across the board to be very dangerous.
