Might could have just renamed this thread the History of Gamecock football.
Anyway, South Carolina lost to Florida in the Swamp in 2006 17-16 on a blocked last second field goal. Jarvis Moss, who had tested positive for drugs earlier that week but Urban allowed to play anyway, blocked a couple of field goals including the last one. Had another 55 yard field goal erased by a delay of game penalty that couldn't have been more than a .001 of a second. Also missed a point after.
Florida survived and went on to win the national title. And Moss learned his lesson as he was forced to sit out the next game...against Western Carolina or some other similar powerhouse.
