a) Past SEC deaths due to booze including the one that killed several after the UT vs UK game
not a good excuse, since drinking still occurs before and after games. rampantly. I mean I'm sure someone at some point had beaten someone to death with a shoe but they haven't banned shoes at games

b) Money is not necessarily made by the schools but by the corporations like Bud (producer) and Sodexo (middleman)
LOL if you don't think the schools would get a cut

c) Southern sports passion + free flowing booze = disaster waiting to happen
it already flows

d) Selling booze in states with 21 age drinking law is asking for lawbreaking
so how do restaurants, bars, liquor stores, pro events, concerts, festivals, etc get away with it?
quote:
e) Monopoly control just means taking it out of the hands of the individuals, damn un-American
i don't understand
quote:
f) more monitoring staff and cleanup staff means less net money
why need extra cleanup staff? People already clean up empties and puke after games as is.
quote:
g) TBS and the folks who get up every 10 mins to take a piss. Booze magnifies this in the worst way
You honestly think people having to go to the bathroom more often is a reason schools contemplate in whether to sell or not?
