You mean those things that have been around for centuries and are used to kill people less and less each year?
It is wiki, but here's some info on all crime in the US - which of course includes murder.
Interesting stuff, particularly the rapid rise in crime that happened from 1960 - 1990 and the near identical decline that's happened since.
