Yeah it is a little interesting considering if you had made it the last 10 years, which I think everyone would agree is a better standard of time, you would have to include one more 5+ loss season for your beloved crimson tide. But you don't want that do you?

Why would that at all be relevant? We'd still have the lowest number of 5 loss seasons in the SEC.

I included the last 8 years because that's when Nick Saban showed up and it basically changed the entire make-up of the SEC. I'm not sure many people would disagree with that.
