I can agree with this. Most AP voters are followers......Ole Miss and Miss State, despite 3 and 4 losses, were thought to have elite seasons (if you listen to bo bounds...lol).....the truth is that Ole Miss has a very suspect OL, no running game to speak of, and no qb....to go along with an aggressive, but light defense......and Miss State lost a TON of talent and experience this past year, and teams have started to figure how how best to play Daq. This is not a flame, I expect both of these teams to be at the bottom of the SEC W this coming year, with 7-5 type records, at best.

Steele is actually a little smarter than the typical AP fan....and I'd expect him to be more in line with Vegas...who currently has LSU around 7th to witn the NC.
