I stay with my family (great aunt/uncle) last summer while I interned down there, they are old but very cool and fun for their age. I wouldn't mind doing that but I'd love to just do my own thing as soon as I got there. Plus I need a place to put all my stuff from my current house that I'll be moving out of.

Check Craigslist. I just looked for shits and giggles and saw a handful of decent looking places in Midtown.
