in the 50's that happened in lr, if i'm not mistaken integration really started in the mid 50's sometime so it sort of went with the times unfortunately. and kudos to those 9 kids in lr, talk about making a difference.
we didn't elect an lsu grad and former grand wizard of the kkk to a state office in the late 80's/early 90's, now that would be embarrassing.

You do realize that Harry Truman was in the kkk for a bit also right? So I guess most Americans are stupid for electing fdr because he brought Truman with him as VP. I'm a history major bud
