This. People who brag about being top notch in college baseball are like parents who brag about the prowess of their kid's peewee football team. That is one college sport that doesn't matter. Very few players of consequence ever come out of college these days as the best of the best are recruited into the minors right out of high school.
While college basketball is a sport that is worthwhile to be good in, college baseball is most definitely not.

I wouldn't know. I have never watched a college baseball game on tv. I'd rather watch Scandal than college baseball.
