Does anyone have any ideas as to what they did to get them in hot water? Will they be kicked off the team permanently?

I do not know what they did. I've never heard of them being in trouble before though, so whatever they did was pretty damn bad. They were reported to have an opportunity to work their way back on the team before the SECt. However, that didn't happen and that's a pretty bad fricking sign, IF that was even true in the first place.

Both players were removed from the Team's Dorm hall, which is also a really bad sign. Last I heard, both were planning to transfer

They didn't get arrested, it would've made the news. Also, the Ath Dept has a 10% of games during the season standard penalty for 1st time drug test offenders, so it's not that. They were suspended more than 10% of the games this season. However, they haven't missed time before, so I don't think it's a 2nd or 3rd failed drug test either.

I don't think it's academic either, unless it's just them not going to class and they were warned they had to go. If it was a grades issue, those usually don't come out until the end of the semester's anyway, and we just got to the half way point of the semester.

I am totally speculating, but I believe they just did something to really piss off the coaches, probably it was something they did/said at practice or in the locker room, but it had to be significant to get them suspended for a few weeks. I'm thinking they got into a heated argument and maybe some physical contact, and they were put on a thin red line. However, IF that report of them having the opportunity to come back by the SECt was true, and they didn't do it, it might be b/c they were so heated at the coaches that they just wanted to leave anyways. Again, I don't know for sure and I am completely speculating.

whatever they did must have been very bad, because like you said neither have been in trouble. I think the loss of Sheppard would hurt more in the long run than Henry. I had no expectations of Henry developing into a good player. All he did was make bad fouls and take that close corner jump shot.

EDIT also has anyone noticed that since those guys were suspended the team has played much better. Frank Martin said the team is in a good place metally now. So, maybe them being gone is an addition by subtraction.

Dammit ... I typed Blackshear rather than Sheppard in another thread.

I'm not sure this was the two of them going-at one another. What I understood it to be was the two of them being in cahoots with one another while they were supposed to both be going through some rehab, (Sheppard for his knee and Henry for his concussion), which led to them being at the wrong place at the wrong time to wit they lied about it to the coaches not once, but twice ... and that's when the indefinite suspensions occurred.

I personally didn't think they ever had a chance to come-back in time for the tourney play. What I was told from the very beginning was that they were done for the rest of the season regardless ... there was never any question about them coming-back in time for the post season, because I specifically asked that question when they were suspended. I'm not sure if, or why, that would have changed.

I do believe one of them will not be back while one of them might return, it just all depends how butthurt they are right now and how long either of them might continue to piss-off their coaches with attitude and an unwillingness to admit they were wrong.
