Have a few medical appointments today..so...here is knowledge to flow in the fountain.
1960 Gators played sixth SEC games and a 10-7 L to AU cost them the title. SEC did have 12 teams then, although Tulane and Ga Tech would be gone in half dozen years. 1960 was Ray Graves inaugural term BTW and he was everybodys talk of the town. Next year the Gators fell flat on their face and went something like 3-7. In 1963 we came within an eyelash of losing to Richmond Spiders 35-28 and yet beat 3rd ranked Bama in Tuscaloosa 10-6. Spurrier was soph in 1964 and we almost beat Bama losing 17-14...Spurrier forgot the down and spiked ball near Bama goal late in the game. To start the 1964 season the Gators traveled to Evanston, In to play and beat Northwestern 24-14...in 1965 we destroyed them at home in our opener....I believe 43-7....but we screw up and let Miss State beat us at home.

I guess I went back too far?? To me the 1960s was yesterday.
Ok....how about a bowl game that we got our azzs handed to us and it wasn't even close once the ball was kicked off? I promise this one is 1980 or closer....and actually several games merit at least honorable mention.

And you got no response on your OP...because there's no question to answer.

I did say I had medical appointments ...didn't I?
Actually, the 1989 Freedom Bowl against Washington was God awful and the damn 1981 Peach Bowl vs West Virginia was also not any better in freezing weather as I recall...at least we got revenge against WV in Sugar Bowl big time.

Interesting part was just how damn good that 95 Gator team was (up there with any of Spurrier's best). Just ran into the GOAT CFB team at the time, though.
