So, back to the original point: if you have to be 21 years old to have a CC license, allowing CC on campus isn't going to protect girls from getting raped in dorms.

Well, it would not help a girl who was not 21. But then again who is to say she could not have a shotgun in her dorm? 18 to own.

I have to laugh at all the charts posted above though, I mean, absolutely no context... just some random numbers gathered by who knows who, who knows when, and with who knows what agenda.

There is a crime culture in America, its not just about guns. Its about people being put in terrible situations, and media glorifying gang violence, etc.

Something like 10-12% of criminals get their guns used to commit crimes legally. Most of the time they are bought underground, stolen, etc. You do not see otherwise law abiding citizens waltzing into gun shops, passing background checks, and then going and murdering someone with the gun.

The beauty of the United States is that we have the FREEDOM to protect ourselves, our loved ones, and our property. I choose to do so with a $3,000 Wilson Combat 1911. If you would like to do it with your cell phone, by calling the police if your front door gets kicked in, then by all means that is your right. I have loaded firearms safely stored in various places around my house, surprisingly, none of them has ever escaped and killed anyone.

Yeah, awesome, we'll have 18 year old girls in dorm rooms who have shotguns sitting underneath piles of dirty clothes, discarded textbooks, and lost socks. That's gonna stop a rapist.
