I'm skeptical of that one. I know a lot of them go back to their hometowns, real cities like ATL, Charleston, Greenville, etc.
Clemson was ranked no. 1 party school a few years. no reason to go to Athens to party unless you have some friends there. Athens has more bars than Clemson but partying can occur anywhere even Bob Jones has parties.
reality is you can have fun at any college, it is more about being own your own for first time and with a lot of other people your age and studying something that interests you rather than the high school prison set up.

Excuse me? I have several clemson friends alone that come to Athens at least once a month to party.
