Probably, I agree UGA is dominant football fan school in GA, simply because they've had more recent success, due to lower academic stadnards.
Why is this constued as attack on Athens/UGA? When I lived in Aiken SC, coworkers used to go to Buckhead every weekend. So yes I think many young people prefer downtown ATL, and if it wasn't a rigourous academic college, it would be the most popular college in GA.

So you're telling me that in Houston the University of Houston is more popular than Texas A&M or UT? What about in Tampa. Is the University of South Florida more popular over UF or FSU? Or even University of Detroit over Michigan or Michigan State. Is the College of Charleston more popular than Clemson in the city of Charleston?

Georgia is literally one of the harder schools to get into in the SEC.
