We moved Grady Brown to a Quality Control Coach position. 247 reported that QC Coaches can help with all the coaching aspects, but they can't help with recruiting.

I think it's specifically off-campus recruiting that they can't help with, but UV and OV's on-campus are ok.

Word is we're going to hire 1 more QC right now, bringing our total to 4.
Right now we have 3:
Scott Spurrier - Quality Control Coordinator (Offense)
Shaq Wilson - Quality Control Coordinator (Defense)
Grady Brown - Quality Control Coordinator (Defense)

I think there are some teams out there that have a lot more QC Coaches.
I read somewhere that Bama had 19, but at this website, I count 8.

Dean Altobelli, Football Analyst 348-3600
Jeff Norrid, Football Analyst 348-3600
Ronnie Letson, Football Analyst 348-3600
Joe Palcic, Football Analyst 348-3600
Jake Peetz, Football Analyst 348-3600
Brendan Farrell, Football Analyst 348-3600
Wes Neighbors, Football Analyst 348-3600
William Vlachos, Football Analyst 348-3600
....and they call them Football Analyst, but it's basically the same thing as QC Coach.

I think we are falling a little behind in the arms race when it comes to staffing, I've noticed other teams talking about hiring additional staff in QC Roles like this.

I would be all for us increasing the size of our QC and Recruiting Staff. We already know we spend a fraction of what many SEC schools pay on recruiting, given though that our ROI over the past 5 years has been pretty damn good though.

This whole QC Coach is really intriguing to me. I think it's just a great loophole in the Coaching Staff limits the NCAA imposes. The schools that take advantage of it will benefit, the ones that don't will be further behind.

Where is Brick Haley on that list? Or is he already here?

But yeah, Spurrier definitely wants to bring some more in - and we should. Once Marcus gets his degree he'll be automatic.
