Today we look at number-2 Jeffery Simmons of Noxubee County

Noxubee County senior defensive end Jeffery Simmons is the nation’s No. 85 overall prospect according to 247Sports. The 6’4, 270-pound athlete is also the nation’s No. 6 defensive end prospect and Mississippi’s No. 3 recruit. Simmons piled up 107 tackles with 15.5 sacks last season. He also showed his overall athleticism with six receiving touchdowns as a tight end.

Clinton junior athlete Cam Akers is rated as the nation’s No. 58 overall prospect in the 2017 recruiting class by the 247Sports Composite ranking. He is also Mississippi’s top-rated recruit in the same 247Sports Composite ranking. As a sophomore, Akers proved to be one of the state’s best players, leading Clinton to a 10-3 record by passing for 1,800 yards and rushing for another 896 yards. He totaled 37 touchdowns.
