No. They should be assimilated. English as the national language, and all classes in schools are required to be taught in the same language. Language is an important cultural unifier, maybe the most important one that can be controlled. Singapore does this. Without immigrants, America does not enjoy the power and prestige (and the trade benefits that go with it) of the last 100 years, because we wouldn't have enough population to matter. New Zealand and Japan have relatively similar land mass and natural resources, and yet Japan is a major player and NZ is a backwater.

But those immigrants must be turned into Americans.
