I know you're reacting but accomplishments don't erase wrongs. However, I'd be surprised if the moon landing was a solely what endeavor. It's hardly relevant to this case tho.

Of course black Americans aren't the only one enslaved nor were they the only people ever to be enslave. But other people's wrong are largely irrelevant - white folks, particularly wealthy whites, benefited from the system of slavery and enriched themselve a great deal.

But again, I really don't like this line of discussion for several reasons. This should be about the case. Even the racial and racialized arguments regarding what one of the convicted may or may not have sad (we have no transcript/no evidence other than one sheriff that a racial slur/comment was made. Keep in mind the original info was that it was a slur - the whole slavery, bitch thing is new and the first time anything like that has been touted. Even so, until someone OTHER than Clay Travis gives us the content it's hearsay and could be very very wrong.

Although, I don't doubt that a racial remark might've been made, these alleged comments just don't sound like something a dumbass rapist would say unless Vandenburg told him to "say something about slavery!" and that was the best he could do. He could also be a racist frickstick. But until we know more on the racial angle, everyone really needs to wait until we do. The allegation will come out as that one dude alleged it early on.
