They have had to dumb our system down to fit Jennings capabilities...hopefully this offseason will be big for him and Harris. But regardless that's kind of what I'm getting at when I say we just need someone with half a brain.
So our pitch to Patterson would be hey look at all of these freak athlete we have. All we need is you to come in and do X for us and we can seriously compete for a NC and put you in the national spotlight which would lead you straight to the NFL.
What's not to like..

If the coaches are smart, they aren't recruiting him like this. Every successful QB we've had has been brought along slowly.
Rohan Davey - Redshirt Senior
Jamarcus Russell - Redshirt Sophomore
Matt Flynn - Redshirt Senior
Zach Mettenberger - Redshirt Junior (1 year at LSU)
Hell, even Jarrett Lee and Jordan Jefferson put up respectable numbers as Seniors.
With Anthony Jennings and Brandon Harris in front of him, the smart money is for Patterson to redshirt, learn the offense, develop as a passer, and then inherit the starting job when Harris graduates in 2018.
