I am not a blind supporter of the police, also don't fall on the "frick the police" side either. I tend to judge people based on how they act rather than as part of a large group.
Are there officers that abuse their power? Hell yea there are and unfortunately police unions tend to create problems in that regard too. And when they abuse their power, they shouldn't get any special treatment for being officers. They should certainly be punished to the full extent of the law. But sorry if that doesn't lead me to think all cops suck and are out to shoot grandma for a fun Saturday night.
