You are absolutely correct to a point. It wasn't so much as Boom was the answer in and of himself, but the fact we had a r/s junior qb coming back from injury ands the defense was going to be stout...and I also was too optimistic about our WRs improving...which part of that failure was the revolving door around WR coaching...but I was wrong. Boom is snake bit, one incompleted pass in the end zone when the ball hit the TE square in his hands and a few more plays in the USC game when we did something we haven't done in four years...blocked punt and FG. We could be 8-3 and add in the Idaho mismatch and we would be 9-3...but we didn't and couldn't.

Now back to your theory about power running backs not common in Fla. Trent Richardson and Matt Jones would like to differ.
