Id also add that now a success label is being slapped on so many LSU NFL players that people are willing to gamble even if the stats aren't there. Our players generally are going to pass the eye test, now with a narrative of Les miles can't coach up the talent teams are willing to gamble some on those that might have under performed at LSU.

I feel like we need to downshift some on selling the NFL dream. We need to get back to the win a title for your state for the instate kids and win a title while at LSU for the out of state kids. Still sell the NFL goal but put the title out in front. We also need to push hard on the success of the kids that do come back.

It wouldn't be a huge deal losing all of these kids if we had recruited to fill the gap, used juco guys as a stop gap, and trusted in our young kids faster. We do a good job of playing young kids on d but it still hasn't been enough.

I would love to see us starting using the cupcake ooc games as a practice, the starters pulled early and then run the real offense and defense with our back ups. sure we would make people cry if we won 70-0 but id rather our kids get some live game snaps in a real offense then just running out the clock. Though one could argue our real offense is just run up the middle anyways
