Our program has and always will be mediocre at best. UGA is not a premier program. We are fortunate that our schedule guarantees us a winning season almost every year and we get a lot of respect for being in the toughest conference in the land while adding very little to that toughness ( we lose to OOC programs that are worth a frick on the regular). We root for a program that is second rate, cheap, and will never reach the next level without a serious commitment from the University and it's administration. Our AD is a fricking joke for a SEC school with nothing to brag about except golf, tennis and swimming. We are football school with a program that finds a way to lose to Vanderbilt and Kentucky occasionally....that is who we are. It doesn't make any difference who the OC coordinator is because if they are worth a shite they will move on in a few years.
Personally I am working hard to get over it. Life is too short. I am trying hard to find ways to spend fall Saturdays outside of UGA football. I quit attending more than a few games a year years in the late 90's and haven't been to one since LSU last year. I plan on NOT spending at least the 2 rent a win games away from CFB altogether starting next year and I think I can do the same for Vandy and UK...I ain't going to make any claims that I won't check the scores but I will be dammed if I let my addiction to UGA football claim anymore of my fall Saturdays than those games that are interesting. If we win the SEC or a national title it will be great but I will be dammed if I will think about it in the least. Yeah, right.....
