Yea that wouldn't surprise me either. I do wonder if Richt is willing to put up with someone learning on the job right now.

Despite the fact that Bobo really developed into a great OC, his first 4+ years were rougher. We are pretty much guaranteed to take a step back as far as production if we promote from within (doesn't mean the coach won't become a really good OC but you don't become one overnight). That could cause a lot of turmoil and even more negativity.

Worst case scenario is we go cheap, get an unqualified OC, and lose McClendon and others in the process.
