Really the question is, does Jim's great years in the NFL/Stanford mean he deserves to be paid more than a man with four National Titles?

If he goes to UM, he will make more than Belichick, Carroll, and his brother.

A person deserves to earn whatever they negotiate with their employer. Whether he deserves it or not is another matter and one that will display itself in time.
The question is does Saban seek an increase because he feels no one deserves to be paid more in CFB than himself?
