They're saying high ankle sprain but it wouldn't surprise me if his MCL didn't go as well. The way his leg bent wasn't right at ALL. That said, we have an RT playing with no ACL (blew out in game one when he was LT - rehabbed for a while and decided he was coming back to finish his senior season) so what's an MCL here or there. In all seriousness, I hope it's just a high ankle sprain but those things are such a catch-all injury (some need surgery, some take weeks to rehab, some only take a little while to heal) that who knows if Crowder will be back before a bowl game.

Damn. So it was on the same play? I can't watch that stuff. Call me a pussy. As for ACL, I blew mine out and I have no clue how you play without one. Forget the pain, what is there to hold the knee in place?

What year is Crowder?

Jacob Gilliam is the RT. He was a walkon and 5th year senior who earned a scholly this year and the starting job at LT. He's the kind of player who would've been recruited higher in HS but he had his growth spurt too late and was undersized during the recruitment time frame. He impressed all the coaches (various staffs for Kiffin, Dooley, etc.) but got caught up in the turnover (as soon as one staff was ready to play him there'd be a new coach and as a walkon he'd have to start over from scratch earning the new coach's attention - 4 different position coaches in 4 year and now 5 for Gilliam).

Gilliam just wouldn't be denied. He finally got his chance, a scholarship, a starting role, and wasn't going to let it end with one game. No one thought he'd play again but he rehabbed like hell and found a way to get it stable enough and won the RT job. The entire team looks up to him.

As for Crowder he's a RS Jr. and had limited experience before this year. No one on that line besides Marcus Jackson had much experience.
