Saban came to Alabama in January 2007.
So current students were between 11 and 14 years old, so most were somewhere from 6th and 9th grade.
Still too young to have strong enough feelings to chant that 7 1/2 years later.
Didn't offend my sensibilities but like I said, seemed kind of silly.

Imagine you are a kid that age on Christmas Day in 2004. You wake up on the most wonderful day of the year and open presents with your family. Everyone is happy, everything is perfect.
Then you find out the beloved coach of your favorite team has decided to leave on his own accord.
You are crushed. There is nothing you can do. Christmas is ruined. Forever.
