same as Mizzou, this time of the year the shadow from the west stands casts on to the field early.

To be clear we COULD grow the grass though, we are just TOO CHEAP to pay for the water and fertilizer...

It's a fair point to argue but the other side of the coin is that when your foot "divots" out like that you have a greater chance of tearing an ACL/ICL, right now the statistics kind of indicate its a toss up as to the number of injuries you will wind up with, regardless of the surface type.
